The financial data provider financial.com AG starts development of Crypto Hub, a consolidated contact point for the market, reference and master data for cryptographic tokens. The goal is to develop a terminal similar to those for traditional financial instruments (e.g. equities, bonds, FX). ITSA contributes the International Token Identification Number (ITIN) and International Token Classification (ITC) for data, Blocksize Capital and CryptoTax provide relevant master and market data.
In the course of the D-A-CH Kongress für Finanzinformationen (DKF) the financial data provider financial.com AG announced the development of the Crypto Hub. The Crypto Hub is to become a consolidated contact point for market, reference and master data of tokens. It will also be used to create professional user terminals for financial market data for cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and others. The aim is to provide analysts and traders with all-encompassing data on cryptocurrencies.
The Crypto Hub enables the comparison of digital assets with regulated marketplaces, an ISIN-ITIN Cross Reference, integrated search by name, ITIN and ISIN, a screener that enables selection based on the ITC and other functions. financial.com cooperates with the International Token Standardization Association (ITSA) e.V. and other founding members, Blocksize Capital and Crypto Tax.
ITSA supports the project with the International Token Identification Number (ITIN) and the International Token Classification (ITC). The ITIN is an openly accessible standard for the unique identification of cryptographic tokens. The ITC is a framework used to classify cryptographic tokens in different dimensions. Through this multidimensional approach, the ITC framework allows the different properties and characteristics of the tokens to be worked out. The ITIN is used for reference and master data of the crypto assets as well as for reference and master data of all instruments connected to the ISIN.
Alexis Eisenhofer, CEO at financial.com, is convinced: “Cryptographic tokens such as the so-called cryptocurrencies and investment tokens are becoming increasingly important. With the Crypto Hub we are expanding our offer to professional investors who want to open up this new market”.
Blocksize Capital supports the Crypto Hub with current market data on crypto assets. This includes an intraday basket price and intraday tick data per exchange.
CryptoTax integrates a data feed, the master data including tax matrix with tax consequences, event reports, income reports and tax-relevant closing prices.
The International Token Standardization Association (ITSA) e.V. is a not for profit association of German law that aims at promoting the development and implementation of comprehensive market standards for the identification, classification and analysis of DLT- and blockchain-based cryptographic tokens. As an independent industry membership body, ITSA unites over 100 international associated founding members from various interest groups, including industry associations, banks, stock exchanges, startups, universities, research institutes, law firms, tax advisors and other industry stakeholders. In order to increase transparency and safety on global token markets, ITSA currently develops and implements the International Token Identification Number (ITIN) as a market standard for the identification of cryptographic tokens, the International Token Classification (ITC) as a standard framework for the classification of cryptographic tokens according to their inherent characteristics, and the International Token Database (TOKENBASE) as standard for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of these tokens. Besides these projects, ITSA facilitates the internal exchange of thought through working groups as well as the setup of country and city charters. Externally, ITSA represents the interests of its members and acts as a sparring partner for standardization bodies, regulators, and government agencies.
